The Assyrian Parliament extends its sincere congratulations to the Assyrian Democratic Party and to the Assyrian people in Syria on the occasion of the inauguration of the Monument to the Assyrian Martyrs in Tel Tamer, Syria.

This important memorial stands as a lasting tribute to the Assyrian martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defense of their people, their communities, their identity, and their ancestral homeland. Their courage and sacrifice form an enduring part of the history and collective memory of the Assyrian nation.

The establishment of this monument is a meaningful act of remembrance and a testament to the importance of preserving the history of our people and honoring those who gave their lives during the many difficult periods faced by the Assyrians of Syria, particularly in the regions of the Khabur and Tel Tamer.

The Assyrian Parliament recognizes the significance of preserving the memory of the martyrs and ensuring that their legacy remains present for future generations. Such memorials serve not only as places of remembrance, but also as reminders of the resilience, dignity, and continued presence of the Assyrian people in their ancestral lands.
