بيان إدانة واستنكار

بتاريخ الخامس عشر من نيسان ٢٠٢٤ تعرض الاسقف مار ماري عمانوئيل لمحاولة اغتيال إثر اعتداء مسلح في كنيسة الراعي الصالح في ويكلي فيرفيلد بمدينة سيدني أستراليا

إننا في الحزب الاشوري الديمقراطي نعلن ادانتنا و شجبنا لهذا العمل الإرهابي الجبان، و لكل اعتداء مسلح على الناس الآمنين مهما اختلفت أديانهم و أعراقهم، فالإنسانية تعني احترام الناس بدون استثناء ، و نتمنى من ابناء شعبنا الاشوري و خاصة في استراليا الحكمة و الهدوء و الالتزام بالقانون الذي يضمن حقوق المواطنين ، و احترام السلطات و القوات الأمنية التي تقوم بعملها لكشف ملابسات الحادث و المتورطين فيه و تقديمهم لمحاكمات عادلة ، و ندعو أبناء شعبنا الاشوري في الوطن و المهجر بالتعقل فيما يخص النشر الالكتروني بحيثيات هذا العمل الإرهابي الجبان

كما نطالب السلطات الاسترالية بتأمين الحماية اللازمة و تشديدها للمعابد الدينية و التجمعات الاحتفالية منعا لتكرار هذه الحوادث التي تخل بأمن المجتمع

و كما نعلن تضامننا التام مع الأسقف مار ماري ونتمنى الشفاء العاجل له و لجميع الجرحى و المصابين

On April 15,2024, Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel was stabbed by a terrorist while delivering a sermon at the church of Good Shepherd in Wakeley, Fairfield. Sydney, Australia.

We in the Assyrian Democratic Party condemn and denounce this cowardly terrorist act and any similar act against civilians regardless of their religious and ethnicity backgrounds .We believe that humanity means respect to all people with no exemption .

We plead our Assyrian community in Australia and all over the world to be calm and adhere to the laws of the countries we are living in as citizens and abide by their laws and let the authorities do their work under all circumstances to bring to justice all those involved in this criminal act.

We call upon our Assyrian people in the homeland and abroad to be vigilant and cautious while posting or commenting on Social Media and online websites about the circumstances of this cowardly terrorist act, we also call upon the Australian authorities to take necessary security measures around places of worship and community gatherings to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.

We also declare our full solidarity with Bishop Mar Marie and We wish him and all those injured in the stabbing attack a speedy recovery, hopping these cowardly attacks will never happen again in Australia or anywhere else in the world.
